R.I.P. JOE CAMACHO

Earlier this week Jiu-jitsu Black belt and MMA pioneer Joe Camacho passed away. Joe woke up to a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital Monday morning where he was later declared dead. This is sad news as Joe was someone I personally knew and thought highly of. Joe was a positive and influential person who I know for a FACT changed and inspired many people. As sad as it is for me to see him go, I know in many ways he's still here with all of us through his teachings. His legacy will carry on with all those he taught the art of Jiu-jitsu and bought up in the MMA circuit. Most importantly one thing I believe we all learned from Joe is how to extend a helping hand to encourage others in reaching their dreams.

GRAPPLERS QUEST AT THE UFC EXPO

If you’re a MMA Fan, this past weekend was crazy to say the least. The UFC Expo, Grapplers Quest, and UFC 162 all took place at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. For those lucky enough to attend the UFC Expo, fans had a chance to meet and greet with their favorite MMA Fighters, get autographs, and participate in free demos. Some of the fighters in attendance where Cain Velasquez, Chael Sonnen, Dan Hardy, Forrest Griffin, and Wanderlei Silva. Competing at the Grapplers Quest Tournament was one of our sponsored athletes; Alyssa Mia Wilson. Alyssa closed out the feather weight advance division in Gi and No gi along with her AOJ teammates. Great job to Alyssa! On the following day, UFC 162 took place in one of the best UFC events to date. Unless you’ve been living in a cave, you probably already know the outcome but do yourself a favor and watch the fights if you missed this event.

THE FIT EXPO - June 29-30, 2013

We will be at The Fit Expo this weekend located in the Santa Clara Convention Center. The show will be running June 29-30. Painted Demons will be selling merchandise in the MMA Pavilion. RAW ARTSHOW

We had a great time at the RAW Artist Show that took place in the Belasco Theater, located in Downtown LA. During the show we had the opportunity to meet lots of artist and catch up with friends as well. The show ran smoothly and the entire staff at RAW Artist was a pleasure to work with. We only brought a limited amount of products to the show but you can find all the apparel and prints Painted Demons has to offer by clicking on the shop link.

MMA Fitness Facility Showcases One-of-a-Kind Wall Art

LAS VEGAS, NV -- (Marketwire) -- 02/11/10 -- Truesport Alliances & Entertainment, Ltd.'s (OTCBB: SEWE) TapouT R&D Training Center now features a new custom wall mural by renowned artist, Rodrigo D. Tovar, of TapouT and Painted Demons.

The TapouT R&D Training Center -- Team Tompkin's pro room is now overlooked by a wall sized samurai skeleton wielding armor and a sword while deftly defeating a giant snake. The mural took Tovar over 12-hours to free hand on a scissor lift. The concept is based on the warrior like attitude many of the professionals that train with Team Tomkins have acquired.

NAGA SAN DIEGO

Over the weekend a lot of friends from Newbreed Jiu-Jitsu in Santa Fe Springs, California competed at the Naga tournament in San Diego. Eric Felix competed along with other team members from the gym. In the kids side: Alyssa Mia Wilson, Sophie and Maxx Lee all did a great job by placing in there divisions.
On other news, congratulations to Chris Santos for winning the Painted Demons "Like a Gi" contest. The winner had to get the most "Likes" on a Facebook post in order to win a brand new Moyabrand kimono. Chris had over 160 votes winning by a huge margin. The contest was  a lot of fun and were hoping to do at least one more before the end of this year.

ARIZONA KIDS CUP & GRAPPLING X

Congratulations to Alyssa Mia Wilson. Over the weekend she won both the Arizona Kids Cup and the Grappling X tournament in San Diego. On top of that she recently got promoted to orange belt. THE OUTLAW PATCH

Our new Outlaw Patch is now in stock. This patch is 5 inches in diameter and has a merrow edge. Word on the street is this patch can deflect any bombs sent from North Korea, so stock up before they sell out! This design will most likely be made into a tank top in time for summer as well. Double Gold! Once again Max and Sophie Lee won their divisions at the Gracie Barra Compnet Tournament. Congratulations guys!

IBJJF PAN AMERICAN KIDS CHAMPIONSHIP

Earlier this month the Lee siblings took home medals once again. Maxx took Bronze in the Yellow belt Roosterweight Division and Sophie got Gold in the Yellow belt Light-Featherweight Division. Orange belts watch out,  they're coming!
